What Changed in Email Marketing This Month (2026–2027 Update)

Affiliate disclosure: Critingo is reader-supported. If you sign up through links on this page we may earn a commission — it costs you nothing extra and never changes our verdicts. We verify pricing and terms regularly, but they change often: always confirm on the vendor's site before buying.

This is the format our daily monitor feeds: we track vendor blogs, changelogs and pricing pages across every major platform, then write up what actually matters. First installment below.

How to read this

Each item = one thing that changed, who it affects, and whether you should care. No press-release rewrites.

What we’re watching right now

  • Newsletter platform feature races. beehiiv and Kit keep shipping growth features weeks apart. When one launches something material (recommendation networks, monetisation tiers), we check whether the other matches within a quarter.
  • Free-plan creep. The economics of “free up to N subscribers” plans keep shifting — they’re customer-acquisition funnels, and the N changes more often than vendors announce it. Our free tools ranking updates automatically when they do.
  • AI features arriving in every editor. Subject-line generators were the gimmick phase; we’re now watching which AI features actually move deliverability and engagement metrics. Most don’t, yet.
