Who is responsible
Critingo (https://critingo.com) is run by the operator of Critingo, the data controller for this site. Contact: hello@critingo.com.
What we collect
- Browsing the site: we set no cookies and run no analytics or advertising scripts. Fonts are served from our own domain, so your browser does not contact Google or other third parties when you read a page.
- Theme preference: if you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is stored in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.
- Tool finder: your answers are processed in your browser only and are not sent to us.
- Optional feedback form (on the tool finder): if you press "Send feedback" we receive the tool you use today, your finder answers (what you send, list size, budget), the reasons you ticked, and — only if you enter it and tick the consent box — your email address, plus the time it was sent. We use this to understand why people switch tools and, if you consented, to email you once about a renewal discount for your current tool.
- Server logs: our hosting provider processes your IP address and request details to deliver pages and protect the site against abuse. We do not use these logs to identify or profile visitors.
Legal basis
- Email address: your consent (UK/EU GDPR Art. 6(1)(a); PECR / ePrivacy rules on electronic marketing). You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us.
- Feedback without an email, and server logs: our legitimate interest in improving the site and keeping it secure (Art. 6(1)(f)).
How long we keep it
Feedback entries, including any email address, are deleted automatically after 180 days. If we send you the one-off discount email, we delete your address after sending it. Hosting logs are kept according to the hosting provider's own retention periods.
Who processes it for us
The site and feedback storage are hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. and/or Vercel Inc., which act as our processors and may process data in the United States under appropriate safeguards (such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses). We never sell or share your data with tool vendors or affiliate networks.
Links to other sites
"Visit" buttons go through /go/… to the vendor's site, sometimes with an affiliate tracking link. Once you leave Critingo, the vendor or affiliate network may set its own cookies; their privacy policies apply, not ours.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to processing, or withdraw consent, by emailinghello@critingo.com. Because we store feedback without accounts, tell us the email address you used. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority — in the UK the ICO, in the EU the authority in your country.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
